Job Brief

We’re looking for a team player who is passionate about technology and the environment. The successful market researcher will need to learn about our newest products, clearly understand and communicate the benefits to our customers, and help us develop our customer base. This will include researching and interviewing potential customers to inform product design and strategy through actionable insights based on your primary research.


  • Conduct market research on target geographies for a developing product
  • Research target market through interviews with potential clients and industry experts
  • Interact with users to solicit feedback and convey to the business development team for refinement
  • Building relationships while exploring new markets and identifying potential local partners
  • Follow industry resources, attend trade shows and conferences, and interact with market innovators and disruptors to predict emerging industry trends

  • Effective communicator with tact and tenacity, and the ability to comfortably interact with clients online or by phone
  • Be well-organized and able to work accurately and effectively in a positive manner
  • Possess strong analytical and written skills when collecting data on customers, competitors, and markets, and consolidate it into actionable insights, reports, and presentations.
  • Committed to continual improvement, and willingness to share and explore new ideas with other team members
  • Willingness to contribute to a positive, healthy work environment for all team members


  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in marketing or business)

While we value experience, passion and curiosity are paramount. You’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact as part of a small, growing team. This would be a six-month contract position starting September 27th, 2021 to March 27th, 2021. We are flexible with start/end dates. Wage offering will be in the range of $25-$28/hour, depending on experience, and will be a 37.5-hour work week.

We have an office close to town with free parking and easy access by bus or bike (we are right on Lochside Trail). Great coffee (and tea) and team-building events are some of the perks. In addition, you can work remotely during Covid.
